| PDT Engines, Inc. currently holds a patent on a unique adiabatic hybrid engine design they call the PDT Engine. PDT Stands for "Positive Displacement Turbine". At this time, the engine is on the drawing board and engineering calculations indicate it will be able to achieve greater than existing horsepower with a 67% reduction in emissions and an ability to travel over 120 miles for each gallon of fuel consumed.
PDT Engines will oversee the manufacturing arm of its company known as "The Little Engine That Can" in the development of a prototype engine to be used in competing in the Progressive Automotive® X-Prize Competition. The team name PDT will compete under will also be known as "The Little Engine That Can".
Concurrent to the development of the engines for testing and for the X-Prize competition, PDT Engines will be developing a 668 horsepower "Jadon 668" PDT diesel engine as a "bolt-in" alternative to existing diesel engines currently powering semi tractor-trailer rigs. PDT Engines, Inc. will sell engine kits (which will include the engine, engine monitoring electronics, mounting hardware, heater modification components and oil reservoir) specific to the make and model of semi-tractor for which the engine is ordered. PDT Engines is now accepting pre-orders for the Jadon 668 engine.
Once the company is able to generate cash flow and show profit, those profits will be used to begin development of automobile engines which will be created to run on gasoline, diesel, e-85 or any alternative renewable fuel, depending on which fuel source appears to be the most demanded at the time. Engines can be developed to run on other alternative fuels as well, depending on what is found to be renewable and easily converted into an inexpensive fuel source.
