| "The Little Engine That Can" Division has located some of the expertises needed to either create and assemble the engine, or in its installation into actual existing vehicles. These are volunteers at this time, people who have to work at other jobs to support their families, yet see the benefit to putting time into this endeavor. Since there are additional needs for certain types of people, "Little Engine" is looking for those who will fit into the company culture and who, at this time, are willing to donate their skills.
"The Little Engine That Can" Division is proceeding with the project, working closely with its parent company, PDT Engines. "Little Engine" is hoping to begin producing the parts for at least two prototype engines through a contract machine shop very shortly. It is intended to have an engine together for testing by late spring or early summer of 2009. Test results will allow for adjustments and retesting, concurrent to a late model U.S. brand minivan being prepared by "Little Engine" mechanics and technicians to accept one of the prototype engines. At this time, "The Little Engine That Can" racing team will take over the van and the division will begin work on the 668 hp diesel engine intended for semi-tractors.
